Peter Steele is probably the most famous bass singer in metal, and one of my biggest influences, so picking a Type O Negative track was inevitable. I chose this one because I share their sense of self-deprecating humour, and it’s fun to sing.

I've been itching to record some Katatonia for ages, but wanted to really mix it up a bit, so we changed the genre to synthwave to add more groove to it. The guitar solo was also added in to fill out the sound a bit. I'm really pleased with how this turned out.
Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquility is another of my biggest influences, and this track allows me to showcase both my growls and clean vocals in one track. We decided to swap out the keys for strings instead, and added a key change for a bit of extra spice.
